Plains, hills bow to you
You give us so much water
towering mountain.

I wrote this haiku during my trek in the Mount Everest region. After hours of walking with a heavy bag, I found myself in a unique landscape. Like a crevasse, I was between two tall mountains, with a river flowing beneath me. I turned my head up to my right and saw this humongous
